This policy governs what you may create, upload, and share with Sustain. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions, and applies to everyone who uses the Service — including anyone you invite to collaborate on an album or who opens a link you share. Breaking it can cost you access to the Service.

Sustain is a photo album builder. Its AI works on photographs you have already uploaded — it organises them, describes them, and improves how they look. Being precise about this matters, because several things people associate with "AI generation" are not capabilities we offer at all:

• Curation and layout — analysing your photos (quality, subject, time, place) and arranging them into pages, with titles and captions written for the album.
• Photo enhancement — upscaling a low-resolution photo so it holds up in print. The subject is unchanged.
• What Sustain cannot do: it offers no face swap, no identity replacement, no way to place a person into a photo they were not in, no voice cloning or synthetic speech, and no text-to-image generation of people from a written description. There is no input for a second face or a target identity, because no feature accepts one.

• You must own your photos or otherwise have the right to use them.
• People in your photos. Where a photo shows someone else, you must have their permission to upload it and to use Sustain's AI features on it — including animation, where a recognisable person is made to move. If someone depicted asks you to remove their image, do so; if they contact us instead, we will act on it.
• Do not upload photos of children other than as an ordinary family or personal album, and never in a sexualised context.

You may not use Sustain — including any AI feature, motion prompt, chat instruction, caption, or shared album — to create, store, or distribute:

• Sexual or adult content, including nudity, sexually suggestive imagery, and any sexualisation of a minor. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the relevant authorities and the account is terminated immediately, without notice.
• Deepfakes, face swaps, or synthetic likenesses — any attempt to depict a real person doing or saying something they did not, to misrepresent who appears in an image, or to use a public figure's likeness. This includes trying to steer a motion prompt toward such a result.
• Content depicting a person without their consent, including intimate images, harassment of an individual, and material intended to humiliate or intimidate.
• Violent, graphic, or hateful content — gore, content that promotes or glorifies violence or self-harm, terrorist or extremist material, and content attacking people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
• Content that infringes someone else's rights — copyrighted photographs, artwork, or characters you have no licence to, trademarks, and any attempt to reproduce a protected work or a named artist's style.
• Illegal, deceptive, or fraudulent material — anything unlawful where you or your recipients are, impersonation, forged documents or records, and misinformation presented as a genuine photograph of real events.
• Attacks on the Service — circumventing credit limits or feature gates, automated scraping, reselling access, or attempting to bypass the safety filters our AI providers apply.

Sustain albums are private by default; the only content that becomes publicly reachable is an album whose owner deliberately creates a share link. Our enforcement is built around that:

• Upstream provider filtering. The AI providers behind our optional features apply their own content policies and refuse prompts and images that breach them. A refusal fails the request; nothing is produced or delivered.
• Reporting. Anyone who opens a shared album can report it, or report a single generated clip inside it, without needing a Sustain account. You can also write to abuse@sustain-app.com.
• Review. Reports reach our staff immediately and are actioned within 24 hours. We review the reported content, the motion prompt behind a generated clip, and the account's history.
• Action. We can remove a generated clip from the album it plays in, disable a share link, suspend the feature for an account, or terminate the account. Every such decision is recorded, including what was removed and why.
• Records. For each generated clip we retain the instruction that produced it, who requested it, and when — so a complaint can be investigated after the fact rather than taken on trust.

Depending on severity we may remove content, revoke a share link, restrict or suspend features, or terminate an account. Serious breaches — sexual content involving minors, credible threats of violence, and other criminal material — result in immediate termination and are reported to the appropriate authorities. Where an account is terminated for a breach of this policy, unused credits are not refunded.

If you have received a Sustain album link containing content that breaks this policy, use the report control on the shared album page, or email abuse@sustain-app.com with the link and a short description. If you appear in a photo or clip and did not consent to it, tell us and we will remove it. You do not need a Sustain account to report anything.
