Sustain vs the other photo book makers
Most photo book services are page-layout tools. They give you a blank canvas, a set of templates, and a drag-and-drop editor — then it is on you to pick which 60 photos out of 2,000 deserve a spot, arrange them, and write the captions. The software is good. The work is still yours.

What the AI actually does
Worth being specific, because "AI-powered" is doing a lot of work in this industry. In Sustain it means: every photo is scored for sharpness, exposure and composition; near-duplicates are collapsed to the best frame; faces are detected and grouped so nobody is missing from the book; photos are clustered by scene, place and day into chapters; pages are laid out to fit the photos rather than the reverse; and captions and chapter titles are drafted from what is actually in the images.
